Bought new 150ho g2 and first time out ran great and went to 6100 rpm. Second time out, motor would be at 1200 rpm and the increase/decrease to 1500 by its self and would not restart - had to be towed in with under 10 hours on the motor.
The XD-100 setting will give you more hours par gallon but not twice as many. The numbers are 50% synthetic and 100% synthetic oil. I believe the double oil break in is 5 hours of operation over 2000 rpm. 10 total hours is a good estimate but could be more or less time depending on operating speeds.
