The team at NE1’s Geordie Jackpot is keen to encourage local charities to tap into the pot of money available from the local lottery. NE1 launched The Geordie Jackpot nearly 2 years ago to provide the people of Newcastle with the opportunity to help the city and others through the local lottery.
Geordie Jackpot is a new weekly lottery brought to you by Newcastle NE1. When you buy a ticket for £1 you will be entered into a draw to win cash prizes. By playing Geordie Jackpot you’ll be helping to support new initiatives for the city centre and local communities, as well as providing support to our nominated charity Cash for Kids .
Before Christmas, the Geordie Jackpot made its first donation to chosen charity, Cash for Kids with a cheque handover, more of which are planned for the upcoming months. All the details of what’s planned for 2018 and the special prize give-aways will be announced via the Geordie Jackpot website at www.geordiejackpot.co.uk .
NE1’s new Grey Street Gathering pocket park, located on Grey Street in front of the Monument, was financed by money raised from NE1’s Geordie Jackpot, local lottery. Equipped with bench seating, planters and artificial grass, the park provides an ideal location for busy commuters and visitors to the city to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Grey Street, named the most beautiful street in Europe.
